Been here at Western for almost a sevenday now, I've been told that even if I don't impress they will probably allow me to stay. Haven't really heard anything back from my father, he didn't send a reply with Fin but I had hoped he might change his mind, but per the usual he hasn't. He's probably relived to have me gone, I remind him too much of mother. I remind myself of mother, passing by a mirror I sometimes catch my reflection out of the corner of my eye, and I think it's her.

We attended an egg touching and there was one that was mostly buried under the sands, I don't think any of the other candidates even noticed it before I went over to it. I probably shouldn't have spent so much time near it, but if my being there helped it be noticed then... well it was worth it. People are speculating that it might be a dud or a white. If it is a dud then this is probably the only time it will ever be paid attention to. Once the hatching occurs no one will ever think about it again unless it actually hatches. I'm sure the Queen knows what she's doing but I can't help but feel like the egg was put there out of sight for a reason. I hope it does hatch and grows up to be a great dragon, that'll show them right?
