Weyrling riders are housed here until their dragon is old enough to carry them, at which point they get their weyr assignments. It is ground level and also has a tunnel leading to the rest of the lower caverns.

The candidates' cavern is slightly above ground level and has a sloping ledge leading down the short distance to the ground, some five or six feet below. Candidates will spend most of their time here, or nearby, when not doing chores around the weyr, and are expected to attend lessons here as well. Like the Weyrling Barracks it also has a tunnel to the rest of the lower caverns.

Candidate Master: A'zael of Blue Navith

The infirmary has a large outer opening and a tunnel to the rest of the lower caverns. Ill and injured humans and dragons alike are taken care of here.

Weyrhealer: Master Jocene

This is where dragonriders and weyrfolk alike come to eat their meals. The kitchen staff rotates shifts so that one can always find something to eat at all hours. Most of the time it is self-serve but during special occasions and when there are important guests drudges will serve everyone.

Head Cook: Worren

This is where are all the children of the weyr stay, for the most part, until they reach an age to either Stand for Impression or decide they wish to be an apprentice at a Craft Hall. Some will never do either and simply stay on to help the Weyr out however they can.
