As you attain certain post counts, you Site Rank will go up. There are actually rewards and privileges that come with gaining Site Rank and they are detailed here.

- Weyrbrat - At 0 posts, everyone starts off as a Weyrbrat but usually don't remain one for long. As a Weyrbrat you can only have one basic character with nothing really special about them and that's about it. As a Weyrbrat you are only allowed to create Apprentices, Candidates, Searchables, and Blue and Green Riders/Wherhandlers, and if you really want to you could have some other basic, low-ranking character like a drudge or random weyrfolk/holder. You cannot adopt characters or apply for any special ranks/colors being given out as a Weyrbrat. If you have a Candidate character they will be less likely to Impress than if you had at least Candidate Rank.
- Candidate - After posting 10 RP posts you will attain Candidate rank. As a Candidate you gain the right to create as many characters as you want. You will now be able to create Burgundy and Brown Riders/Wherhandlers, Journeyman Crafters, and adopt characters. You can also apply for any special ranks/colors that are being tried out for but under normal circumstances you won't be allowed to actually create them (if I choose you to play them) until you attain the next rank.
- Weyrling - Upon gaining 50 posts you will become a Weyrling. As a Weyrling you will be able to create Black Riders/Wherhandlers if they are available for creation. You will also be able to make a character to take up an important position at the Weyr, such as Weyrharper, Weyrhealer, Headwoman, Assistant Weyrlingmaster, etc. The Weyrling rank is the first rank at which your characters can start Impressing Firelizards, but you will usually only receive lower color Firelizards (Green, Blue, Burgundy, and Brown, possibly Black and very, very rarely, Grey) and you will only be allowed to have three (they could all be for the same character) until you achieve the next rank.
- Wingrider - At 100 posts you become a Wingrider. You will be able to make a Bronze Rider/Wherhandler if they are available for creation. You will be more likely to Impress a Black or Grey Firelizard and will also have a chance at Impressing Bronze and Gold Firelizards. You will be able to have six Firelizards now (but three is the max that can be Impressed to any single character). At this point you will also be able to make characters of high ranking positions, such as Wingsecond, Wingleader, Weyrsecond, and Master Crafters.
- Wingsecond - At 250 posts you become a Wingsecond. If ever a transfer Bronzerider, Goldrider or Greyrider becomes available for creation you will be able to simply create one and wait for approval rather than apply for one as lower post ranks must, giving you a much better chance at playing one (so long as you do not already have your limit for clutching females/metallics). You will be able to have three more Firelizards (a total of 9 max now) and the limit for how many a single character can have will be raised to four instead of three.
- Wingleader - At 500 posts you become a Wingleader. For reaching this rank you can have three more Firelizards (a total of 12 max) with the limit for how many a single character can have being raised to five instead of four.
- Weyrleader - Anyone who reaches 1000 posts becomes a Weyrleader and will be allowed to create ONE HAD(Hears All Dragons) character.
