Name: L’en
Age: 18 Turns
Gender: male
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Rank: Weyrling
Family: Sellena – mother, L'aran – father, Salar – twin brother
Dragon: Green Elvith
Pets: none yet
Appearance: He shares greyish eyes and dark brownish-black hair with his twin brother, along with a variety of other features that would make them hard to tell apart, and did when they were younger. However, now that they're a bit older, there are other distinguishing factors between them, such as Lellen's smooth facial features and neatly cropped hair as opposed to his brother's stubbled face and rather unkempt locks. Where as his brother might have a moody or cocky expression, Lellen's is more often far away and dreamy, with a soft smile perhaps. He has a bit more of a boyish look to him than his brother does.
Basic Personality: Lellen is a very open, friendly guy though a bit of a scatterbrain at times. He means well and if he hurts anyone in any way you can be sure its not on purpose. He can be a bit of a flirt at times if he finds someone particularly attractive.
Strengths
- Easy-going – It’s very hard to get Lellen angry, and even when he’s angry it’s a lot more like annoyance than anything, and will probably pass quickly.
- Friendly – Lellen won’t hesitate to strike up a conversation with that pretty girl no one else will approach, the person who sits next to him during lessons, or even a random stranger he happens to bump into turning a corner.
- Optimistic – No matter how bad things get he always looks on the bright side and stays positive.
- Non-confrontational – Lellen is a lover, not a fighter, and will never resort to violence over anything. He’s more likely to let himself get pushed around than stand up for himself, though with how naïve he is he probably sees it all as good-natured fun anyway.
- Good humored – Much to the annoyance of those who would make fun of him, he laughs at any joke made about him, never taking really anything too seriously.
Faults
- Flighty – Lellen has a bit of an issue with following through on his words and actions. It isn’t that he’s lazy or anything he just doesn’t quite have the resolve that his brother has to see everything he does through to the end.
- Daydreamer – Lellen sometimes focuses a bit more on the dream world than the real world and can get a little distracted from things that are going on around him.
- Naive – Lellen believes in the good in everyone and is a bit too quick to trust others, which has been known to end with betrayals and practical jokes gone too far in the past.
- Loose tongue – It is wise to keep secrets from Lellen because he says whatever happens to be on his mind at the time, whether or not it was told to him in confidence or not. He doesn’t do this to mean or to spread rumors or secrets, more than likely he’s simply starting to daze off in a daydream and isn’t really thinking about what he’s saying.
- Forgetful – This comes along with his daydreaming nature. Sometimes daydreams take the place of things he should remember from reality and it will be as if he’s never heard or learned something that he should know of.
- Oblivious - He doesn't have the most tact and will just say whatever's on his mind, without ever knowing if what he says causes anyone any upset. He certainly doesn't do it to be mean, he's just... blissfully unaware.
History: As a twin he was, and still sometimes is, always getting mixed up with his brother. Lellen has always found the whole thing rather amusing and doesn’t really understand how people can’t tell them apart. They are so very different if you ask him. Other children used to make silly jokes about him and his brother, and still do on occasion. He always thought some of them were rather clever though Salar apparently didn’t. His brother got in plenty of fights over those jokes, Lellen could never understand why. They were just simple jokes, nothing to fight about.
He was the bane of their Harper during lessons, always drifting off into some daydream and never really paying attention to whichever boring lesson was planned for the day. He could scrape by, but he rather deplored the monotonous, unexciting, every day work of lessons and would much rather escape off into his much more fantastical dream world. The only time he ever impressed the Harper was when he sang, for it seemed he had a rather beautiful voice, and if he didn’t have the mind for teaching he could at least entertain.
The Harper would have put a word in for him at the Harper Hall but Lellen refused. He did not daydream about pleasing crowds with his voice and song, he dreamt of dragons, like his father’s Brown Muth. He’d sing for fun, but it wasn’t something he was serious about… not like dragonriding. Lellen is hardly serious about anything, but he is quite taken with the idea of being a dragonrider, especially now that Thread is to return and it won’t be just boring drilling and practicing but the real thing. To be a dragonrider and fight Thread is to be a hero in the eyes of Pern and that is the stuff daydreams are made of.
At 15 Turns he was Searched by the Candidate Master A’zael’s Blue Navith and has Stood for one of Gold Orlaith’s clutches and a number of Grey Iroth’s without Impressing. He hasn’t let it get him down, though. And his waiting has paid off now that he's Impressed his beautiful Green Elvith.
