Dragon Candidates

Since Western is still a rather new and small Weyr and the Pass hasn’t quite started yet, the minimum age for Candidacy at Western is 13. Still, those of only 13 Turns will only be accepted rarely. Candidates should not be older than 20, but can be as old as 25 before they are truly dismissed from Candidacy (no one over 20 will ever be Searched, to Stand for Impression after your 20th Turn you’d need to have already been Standing before you’d turned 20. Those who make Candidates that are older than 20 will have their character scrutinized closely and unless you have an exceptional bio, I may require you to change it). There must be at least 10 active PC Candidates for me to run a hatching and the more Candidates there are the more likely there are to be higher colors (and of course more eggs).

Wher Candidates

It is recommended that you not make a Wher Candidate as just that, but make them originally as a crafter/holder/weyrfolk of some sort that you would be all right playing them as for a time. Unlike with Dragon Hatchings it is first come first serve, so make it known to me immediately if you would like your character to bond a Wher at the next Wher hatching. Your character must be at least 12 Turns to bond a Wher, and can be as old as 40.
