Name: Sh'mal (used to be Shomal)
Age: 22 Turns
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Bi-sexual, though prefers men
Rank: Wingrider
Family: holders near High Reaches
Dragon or Wher: Blue Ligeth
Pets:
Appearance: He has a pointed chin and nose. He's tall and thin. His hair is a light brown, not quite light enough to be considered blonde.
Basic Personality:
Strengths (at least 5, preferably more, do not simply list them, but add a little description/example to go along with it)
Faults (at least 5, preferably more, do not simply list them, but add a little description/example to go along with it)
History: Sh'mal was born in a hold near High Reaches Hold. He was always getting into trouble, but he was a good kid. He was always willing to help out the littles at the holds nearby. He began training as a runner because all of his childhood friends were doing the same. On one of his runs, he happened to come across a Searchrider from High Reaches Weyr. The rider asked him if he wanted to stand as a candidate at Ranmith's Hatching, and he agreed wholeheartedly. He attended the Hatching, where his amazing other-self Ligeth Impressed him. He became a respectable dragonrider there while dealing with his growing attraction to his Wingleader. He endured this for several years before he had his first big breakdown. One of the male green riders found him huddled in his bed and helped calm him down. By then, a call had gone out for riders to move to the new Western Weyr. Sh'mal accepted the call gladly and moved far away from his problems. Soon, however, new problems arose. He was determined not to run away this time, so stayed at Western despite the pain.
If ever you become inactive without warning for a long period of time or decide to leave the site, what would you like me to do with your character? Kill him off. I'm sure he would love to die a spectacular death.
Ranking characters with high color dragons/whers can either be put up for adoption or killed off. They will not be able to remain as background NPCs for any longer than it will take for me to think of a way to kill them off, but other characters can remain around as NPCs if you’d like. If you ever decide to come back and wish to reclaim your characters, you can always reclaim them if they’ve simply been turned into NPCs, and if they haven’t been adopted yet, but if you allow them to be killed off they cannot be returned to you, they are gone forever.

Strengths (at least 5, preferably more, do not simply list them, but add a little description/example to go along with it)
- Swiftness - He gained his speed in his training to become a runner. He can still sprint from his weyr to the Hatching Grounds in time to catch a Hatching without getting too winded.
- Cleverness - He once figured out the best food to charm a tunnel snake out of its hole so it could be caught. He's good at figuring his way out of tight spots.
- Humor - He has a healthy sense of humor, which helps him deal with Ligeth when he's unhappy. He's always ready to laugh.
- Patience - He can take a great deal of abuse. He understands childhood fun, and can usually be counted on to play the same game thirty times in a row to please them. Combined with his humor, he can put up with Ligeth's complaints whenever needed.
- Acceptance - He's one of those people that could care less what other people think about you. If he likes you, he won't let little things change his mind.
Faults (at least 5, preferably more, do not simply list them, but add a little description/example to go along with it)
- Haha!...Oh, you were serious... - He has trouble being serious when the situation calls for it. This often gets him into trouble with important people who naturally expect to be respected.
- Too patient - Sometimes, he wears himself out beliving that he can just outlast whatever's bothering him. He often needs someone to physically remove him from such situations before they cause him harm.
- This is awkward... - He has a bad habit of liking all the wrong people. For example, he likes several of the bronze and brown riders, though he knows that he could never be with them completely, due to Ligeth's opinions. It also makes it awkward for him during mating flights, which is why he usually takes Ligeth on a long flight around mating time.
- Non-expressive - He often keeps his feelings bottled up inside of him, which leads to breakdowns every so often. Many times, revealing his feelings would be more disastrous than letting them out, which doesn't make it any easier for him to just let them out.
- I can do this myself - He finds it hard to accept help from anyone. He's used to having people rely on him, so he finds it hard when the positions are reversed. He usually chooses to suffer in silence than have anyone inconvenienced to help him. The only acception to this is Ligeth, because Sh'mal considers him a part of himself.
- Shy - Part of holding in his emotions, he is bad at talking to strangers. Oh, he's fine when he's "the blue dragonrider, Sh'mal", but when he's just himself, he avoids situations where he has to interact with strangers
