Name: F'ynn (Falynn)
Age: 17
Gender:Male
Sexual Orientation:bisexual-ish (he’s not really attracted to males and considers himself heterosexual, but he is totally cool with the idea homosexual flight sex so I’m counting him as bi)
Rank: Weyrling
Family:Father – Farris (smith), mother – Karyn, younger brother Farrik (smith)
Dragon: Brown Dradeth
Pets: Feline Moggie, an orange tabby tom. Lazy and somewhat overweight, with a grumpy disposition that he is rarely inclined to act on past grumbling, as scratching is simply too much effort. Isn’t a very pretty cat, he has medium-length, tufty fur, a slightly smooshed-looking face, muddy yellow eyes, a chunk missing from one ear, and a ridiculously floofy tail.
Appearance:
Falynn is handsome enough in his own way, with his dark brown hair and strikingly unusual silver-blue eyes. He has a strong jaw, usually covered in scruffy stubble that barely misses “messy” to hit “rugged”. He’s fairly tall, and muscular in the lean sort of way one would expect from holding a fairly light weight for hours rather than the well-defined muscle of heavy lifting. Falynn would be unlikely to strike someone as being intimidating. After all, he rarely straightens up from a nonchalant, relaxed slouch and has a ready smile for anyone. Although he looks older than he is, Falynn has a perpetually child-like innocence and carefree brightness in his expression.
Basic Personality:Falynn’s definitely a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. He doesn’t see the point in conflict when there’s a ready compromise. He’s social, but not the kind of person who craves or even would accept the center of attention. Compliments are embarrassing to him in a way few things are.
Strengths (at least 5, preferably more, do not simply list them, but add a little description/example to go along with it)
Faults (at least 5, preferably more, do not simply list them, but add a little description/example to go along with it)
History: Falynn’s father was a smithcrafter based in Telgar where he grew up, or more specifically a glasscrafter. He was a down-to-earth man and rarely ventured past the making of sturdy and dependable jars and vases, that sort of thing. But when he did, he could make the most lovely baubles. Most of these pretty ornamental pieces, he gave only to Karyn, a hold girl he’d grown up with. She was a shy sort, but finally he convinced her to marry him. That’s where Falynn came along – their first born, then a few years later his little brother. It was no surprise to anyone that both Falynn and his brother apprenticed to their father for glasscrafting. It was obvious from the start, though, that Falynn had little interest in plain ordinary glassworks. Even the basest of jars had some special little flare to him. It bemused his father but since the objects were still well-made Farris saw no harm in it. Besides, the younger brother had very little eye for artistry but much skill in the plain glassworks, so he taught Falynn art and Farrik the more sensible plainwork.
When Falynn was seventeen and probably only a few months at most from obtaining his journeyman status, a rider came on search from Western Weyr. Along with another, Falynn was chosen to go to the Weyr. Though it was certainly a surprise for him, Falynn just shrugged and started packing. His father was upset about him leaving so close to obtaining journeyman, but he still had Farrik apprenticed to him and there was little likelihood that they’d have too much work without him so Farris gave his blessing to Falynn and sent him off with the searchrider and some extra glassworking tools in the hopes that he’d be able to continue to work with the weyr’s smiths, if they had any assigned there.
Impressed to Brown Dradeth in Orlaith's clutch with Zevranth.
If ever you become inactive without warning for a long period of time or decide to leave the site, what would you like me to do with your character?
I’d like him to be a NPC, unless he Impresses a ranking dragon, in which case I’d like him put up for adoption

Strengths (at least 5, preferably more, do not simply list them, but add a little description/example to go along with it)
- Falynn is modest about his work, and about himself. The surest way to get a blush and a stammer from him is to compliment something he’s done. The way he sees it, work isn’t something to do for the sake of praise.
- This boy is an incredibly hard worker, often starting a project only to resurface when it’s completed or someone forces him to take a break – and even then he’s probably only thinking about the project.
- Kind – Falynn rarely deliberately says a cross word to anyone, and seeing someone distressed, he will go out of his way to make them happy again.
- He has a good memory for colors and emotions (though sadly, not for appointments or names) and is often able to recall the exact shade of someone’s shirt and the emotions that color tended to evoke months later.
- Falynn is an incredibly talented glasscrafter, though his talents range more towards the creation of artwork and delicate decorations than kitchenware. He loves his work.
- Falynn has an eye for art of any sort and loves to see other artists’ interpretations of the world – he collects many different forms of art.
Faults (at least 5, preferably more, do not simply list them, but add a little description/example to go along with it)
- Tends to be more than a little preoccupied and dreamy outside of his shop. Has a hard time remembering where he’s supposed to be at a certain time, or the names of people he’s introduced to.
- Can be a little clueless when it comes to human interaction. Loves to be around people but has a tendency to say the wrong thing without thinking and often comes across as odd.
- Falynn often goes too far in avoiding conflict, often letting people walk right over him without protest. Sometimes too anxious to be the nice guy.
- He’s a rather poor judge of character. He’ll right out ignore people’s bad traits even when it’s obvious to everyone, and always trusts the wrong people.
- Falynn has a hard time completely committing to things and to people. He’ll be excited by an idea but if things start to go wrong he just accepts it and doesn’t bother fighting for that idea. If he thinks he cares for a person in their presence, he’s likely to forget about that feeling when they leave. He’s often too quick to move on.
