Here's a little information on each of the important NPCs at Western in case you wish to use them in a thread. You can also request for a staff member to play one of them for you if you'd like.
G’brel and Bronze Greth – G’brel is 51 Turns and Greth is 36 Turns. Before A’dion transferred to Western from High Reaches and his Zevranth caught Orlaith in her most recent rising G’brel was Weyrleader. He bears some resentment toward A’dion for replacing him when A’dion is new to Western and much younger and ‘less experienced’ than he is, especially when Thread is just about to return. G’brel and Talaria rarely ever saw eye to eye when he was Weyrleader and hold no fondness for each other. Greth is small for a Bronze and more agile and speedy than most others, though his endurance is compromised a bit for it. Image Of Greth
Headwoman Sylvi – Sylvi has 63 Turns to her name and is a no-nonsense weyrborn woman. Her mother and father were both riders though she never knew them very well. She herself was never Searched and made herself useful to the weyr in other ways. She has been mother to many a dragonrider’s child in the past and has been an efficient Headwoman for the length of Western’s existence so far. She has a soft spot for children and can be somewhat grandmotherly toward them, but that is the only time she will ever drop her calm and collected, let’s get down to business attitude.
Assistant Headwoman Syrelle – Quite a deal younger than her superior at 34 Turns, Syrelle is also Headwoman Sylvi’s eldest daughter. She still shows all the beauty her mother once had and though she’s just as serious about getting things done efficiently as her mother, she seems to have more of a sense of humor and more time for play, to her mother’s displeasure. Syrelle is quite willing to share a bed with any dragonrider, including the females. She lacks the mothering instincts that her own mother has and would rather take a short trip between than carry a child to full term.
Masterhealer Jocene – A quiet and soft-spoken woman of 47 Turns, Jocene is short and rather round. She is quite the motherly type and tends to fret overly much about her patients while they’re recovering. However, when she’s working, she’s WORKING and her focus is unshakable.
Masterharper Demir – Demir seems a rather boring man when just talking to him, if you can get him to talk, considering he’s only 36 Turns. He rarely says more than one or two words at a time if he says anything at all. However he is a man of extreme talent, able to play a variety of instruments plus his deep bass voice. He is quite energetic when performing and is a great pleasure to watch and listen to.
Worren – Worren is a very jolly man of 49 Turns who never really takes anything too seriously. He enjoys overseeing the kitchens and making sure the dragonriders are getting the best meals his staff can provide. He’s not averse to slipping treats to weyrbrats and is a great friend to many a firelizard for he always seems to have a little extra something for them.
Harbormaster Jiran – Twin brother of Gerat, the two are hard to tell apart when you just go by looks. At 45 Turns and as the son of a Harbormaster, the man has a wealth of experience with the workings of a harbor and is plenty qualified for his position. However, he is still open to suggestions from others, open to learning more and trying things in new and different ways, the complete opposite of his brother.
Lord Vander – At 77 Turns, Lord Vander is in ill health these days and everyone is waiting for him to name which of his children will succeed him as Lord Holder at Western. The man stubbornly clings to life and has held his tongue about the subject so far.
Harbormaster Gerat – With Gerat, it’s his way or no way. He is extremely stubborn and will not budge once his mind is made up on a subject. He does not ask for advice and expects none to be offered. He is very much a traditionalist and does not like change.
