Nix stood back quietly, watching her Metholith snap and growl at the nearby herdbeasts. Her teeth glinting dangeorusly in the sunlight, whilst her hide shimmered delicately like blades of darkened grass covered in tiny dew droplets.
'Mine, it is time.' Metholith's growling voice entered Nix's mind before her great wings outstretched and she leapt into the skies, hovering for a few moments before attacking herdbeasts with an alarming feriousity.
"Fly well my love." nix uttered in nothing above a whisper. Nix smiled sadly, her chest tightening as she watched Metholith feast upon the blood and flesh of a single beast whilst the others called out in pure terror. Closing her eyes, she let herself sink into the sensations. there was no point to fighting it. She would awaken tomorrow, aching and lonely once more. She only prayed that the males that joined would be gentle with her delicate frame.[/blockquote]

Andros was in his weyr when he looked over to his black dragon Eraith. His black dragon slept on with his brown firelizard was sleeping next to the dragon what a odd pair. When his dragon started to move then he said, "She rises" then took off below to the pens to blood a kill. The black rider got up dressing in a white dress shirt and black leather pants with the brown fire lizard on his shoulder. His dragon started to bloody different weyrbeasts as he caught sight of the green dragon. The rider had to be around here somewhere as emotions of lust started to overtake him. Eraith had only been in a few mating flights and won none of them metallic.
He looked around waiting to see the rider and catching no sight of them watched as Eriath continued to blood the kill. His little brown fire lizard Izzy was just chirping already feeling the air changing. The black rider prepared himself there was no getting out of it now and waited for the actual flight. Andros was a very calm rider and hoped that the green rider was a woman.

Sh'mal sat alone in his weyr resting on the bed. He'd just returned from training. His blue, Ligeth, lay on the ledge outside of the weyr. Suddenly, his head shot up and Ligeth took off. Sh'mal got to his feet and walked out onto the ledge. Where are you off to? He was startled, though not completely taken aback, at the force with which the dragon replied, Green Metholith will rise today! I will chase! Sh'mal buried his face in his hands with a sigh. Not again! It hadn't been long since Ligeth had injured himself chasing Iroth, Garret's Grey. The wound was in no danger of reopening, but the bluerider was still worried that he could hurt himself if he wasn't careful. Must you? You know you're still hurt. I will chase! the blue repeated stubbornly. With another sigh, Sh'mal turned toward Nix's weyr, saying, Be careful, then. You need to save your strength. A brief assent answered him, followed by the rush of the blooding of a herdbeast. Once sated, the blue flew to the rim to await the green. Sh'mal slowly found his way to Nix's weyr, disappointed that Ligeth couldn't have chased a green with a male rider. Well, he consented, at least he wasn't completely opposed to women. It was just like comparing Benden white to a Tillek wine; both got you drunk, but the Benden tasted so much better.

Navith was still recovering from the frustration of losing Iroth’s flight. He couldn’t really remember the flight anymore, but he still had lingering feelings of frustration about it. He had been a bit mopey, though A’zael figured he was doing far better than Sabath must be. That Black was already bad tempered enough without losing the mating flight of his favorite female.
A’zael was relaxing in his weyr, which he found he frequented less and less with his candidate master duties, after a particularly tough drilling session. All this responsibility really wasn’t his thing. He was honestly thinking of asking Talaria to find someone else to be candidate master, though he’d ‘honestly’ thought such things often enough in the past and never acted on them.
Navith was curled up on his ledge when he raised his head suddenly, watching Metholith. He rose, Green Metholith rises! Lifting his wings he launched himself into the air. A’zael sat up at those words, Meth? He grinned slightly. Just what they both needed after the disappointment of Iroth’s flight. He stood and made his way to Nix’s weyr. He wished Navith hadn’t left so suddenly so he could given him a ride over, but at least her weyr had access to the lower caverns so walking was actually an option.
Navith rose to perch high above and watch, wait for Metholith to begin the flight, his eyes whirling with red. He would catch her, most definitely. What did he need some oversized Grey for when he could have this lovely Green instead?
~
Nyxani had actually just finished speaking with the Weyrlings when she felt a shift in Roth and a newfound lust washed over her. Lucky she’d finished with the weyrlings when she had, it seems. A Green rises, Metholith. I shall chase her!
Of course, dear one, you always chase. Catch her for me? She chuckled. It had been some time since she’d had any… female attentions. As Roth rose to settle some distance from Navith, Nyxani left the weyrlings in the care of one of her Greenrider assistants, knowing they wouldn’t be worrying about the flight as their dragons were not interested at all in the rising of another Green. Metholith’s rider… Nix… this could be fun.

Relucant strides carried Nix slowly to her weyr, the heavy coil of dread settling in her stomach making her feel slightly sick as she spotted a small gathering already waiting outside her weyr. Her eyes cast downward, risings were not her idea of fun. So amny times she had been hurt during them, so many times she had woken up with someone who hated her and made it perfectly that he thought of her a tart who would give anyone who showed interest what they wanted.
Despite her outward confidence, Nix felt more fragile than she had felt in a long time and despited it. Metholith couldn't help the rising, so being upset over it wasn't going to help. Plus... this was a new weyr, surely the riders would be better here about risings and such. the last thing Nix wanted was to feel liek she was some form of burden.
Pausing midstride, she nodded to the gathering riders before entering her own, moving near the balcony like area so she could watch Metholith. Part of her wished the risings didn't happen so close together, but another understood. Her gaze slid back, recognising a grinning A'zael and Nyxani, as well as Sh'mal, who's blue had been injuried in the Grey's flight. Part of her wondered why he let blue the fly. Mind you... trying to stop a willing dragon chasing was about as much as use as a chocolate fireguard.
Metholith let her wings stretch for the nearby males to admire her form before lifting her head and cooing a greeting and a challenge to them. Her hindquarters tensed up revealing the thick line of muscles that coiled up tightly before she sprang into the air in a near effortless motion. With a strong downward sweep her wings carried her up, her sails catching the thermals to push her higher before she shot above the rim where the males waited, her body twisting to keep the thermal beneath her sails.
'Catch me if you can!' Metholith's voice echoed out, taunting and playful as she rose higher, feeling the air cool around her body as she rose up higher than she would normally fly with Nix on her back. Her wedged shaped head turning to glance under her wing to see the wonderful males that chased her, debating on who would be allowed the honor of catching her.

Sh'mal watched as Nix entered the room, noting her expression. He smiled in return to her nod, though it probably looked more like a grimace due to his concerns. He followed the other riders entering her weyr. He felt slightly apprehensive, partially because of his own misgivings, and partially because of what he'd seen in Nix's eyes.
Ligeth watched Metholith closely. Forget greys; greens were his real passion. His injured leg pained him, but the pain was lost in a wave of mating lust. His eyes flashed bright red as the green tore into her prey. He would not allow himself to lose another flight! He roared in response to Metholith's challenge and launched himself into the air after her. His dark blue wings pushed him forward quickly, efficiently. He knew how to catch greens. He heard the light consciousness of His saying, Careful..., but ignored it. His was he now; they knew. That Ligeth wouldn't stop for anything. Though His would not be as eager to win, if they were not They. He forced himself to slow; greens were fast and he would have to use his endurance to his advantage. He rose high, his powerful wings straining to bring him above Metholith, where he could more-effectively use his strength.

Andros looked as the girl finally came out and smiled this would be an enjoyable flight hopefully with a good end result. He watched as the green dragon seemed to started to show off and this his onyx flexed to. The onyx Eraith was already scoping up the competition and convinced that he would win ended up stretching his wings to go after the green. She was smart using a thermal and had to pound his wings then used the breeze to lift him after her. His thoughts we're on catching the green and nothing else mattered though it mattered little that he had not participated in the grey's rise.
His rider was looking upward admiring the girl his eyes alit with interest. A'dros was a not a guy that participated in all flights and when he knew a dragon was going into flight lust would have his dragon teleport them away. The rider didn't like end result that came with mating flights yet had given in to Eriath this time. His onyx dragon needed to have fun and smiled at the thought of maybe have a chance of winning.
