Akri sunk into the warm water and smiled. She leaned up against the wall and felt her muscles slowly began to relax. She sunk into the water a bit more to get her hair wet then slowly began to work on all the tangles that seemed to develop. Isakith was out in the sun relaxing in the wonderful heat which gave Akri time to think about things. It felt nice to be clean considering that she rarely is with how often she is on the ground. Closing her eyes she smiled slightly.
The past few days had been very eventful. From talking to Garrett really for the first time in six turns, to actually dancing for the first time in a long while. Even Glider eggs had been given to Western and Akri was curious to what they would bring? Opening her eyes she sighed, what would this turn bring? Perhaps you'll find a Weyrmate or even find me a nice lovely mate. Isakith's voice echoed in Akri's head. Smirking Akri shook her head and laughed. Thankfully there was no one there to ask why she was laughing so.
'Mine, all thats in your head is about blues or blacks.' Akri responded to her dragon and quickly received a reply. Well if you hadn't always wished to be gone so often perhaps I would actually have some time to get to know all the other dragons. Isakith's comment made Akri frown slightly. Her dragon did have a point. Akri seemed to find every excuse to leave the Weyr instead of actually staying and helping out. Not only had it affected her dragon but it affected Akri as well. Akri had no friends here, nor had she tried to even make any. Who knew what everyone said about her? They most likely all thought she was a stuck up person who did not appreciate that fact that she was searched for this Weyr. In a way she felt like it was her 'home' fault since it was a Weyr yet they said she would never make a good dragon rider. And here she is a dragon rider for six turns.
