Name: Arendion - Prefers A'dion
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Bi-sexual
Rank: Weyrleader
Family: Father - Arenin (Deceased) / Mother - Diona
Dragon: Bronze Zevranth
Pets: Gold Tipsy
Appearance: A'dion is ruggedly handsome, with kinked black hair that's usually slicked back, an earring in one ear or the other, and prone to wearing leather vests over a black shirt. He is tall, at 6'4'', broad shouldered and thickly muscled, though not to the point of being overly bulky. His voice is deep and rolling, seeming to resonate from deep within his chest. His sarcastic nature causes him to make goofy faces once in a while, or act like everyone he speaks to is an idiot. They usually are. Dark brown eyes are always focused on something or someone, and though they are warm and friendly, they are often glimpsed as being cold and aloof.
Basic Personality: A'dion is your typical cocky bronze rider, though he is able to back up most of his claims when they're made. He is a good man to have as a friend, but is notorious for holding grudges against those he deems necessary to do so. Also a notorious womanizer, if you're female, he's liable to put his arm around your shoulders and wow you with his charm and debonair smile.

History: Born in High Reaches Weyr, RAISED in High Reaches Weyr, and Impressing to a Bronze at High Reaches Weyr, A'dion is the pinnacle of Pern society. Born to high social status, he is no doubt well-versed in intrigue and etiquette to fit royalty. His father was a Holder of a minor hold, and his mother a Journeyman Healer, thus they didn't see a lot of their son. But when they did, they taught him well and loved him as best they could. Arendion's father was constantly spoken to about his 'common blooded' wife, and why he didn't force her to take on more 'wifely' duties at the Hold proper. His only response? 'You can take the woman out of the infirmary, but not the infirmary out of the woman.' Some figured he'd tried just that, and had been met with with such a fierce wall of 'No.' that he hadn't ever tried again.
Being the son of a Holder, even a minor one, sets one apart from the rest of their peers. Such as it was for Arendion, and because of this, he was taught all the best BY the best. His father taught him high class manners, etiquette, rank order, and how to use his rank to the best of his ability without seeming to use it at all. To counter it, his mother taught him to be chivalrous, kind, and only use his rank when he had no other choice in the matter. Though his parents loved each other, they were so different in thought patterns that they often thought their path was the correct one. As it was, Arendion ended up adopting his father's cunning and diplomacy, and his mother's kindness and serenity.
Arendion was so named after his grandfather's grandfather, a renowned Bronze Dragonrider and Wingleader, thus he had big shoes to fill from birth. As he grew, he learned to read, write, and figure a bit, but his main dream was to become a Dragonrider. At age seventeen, he Impressed at a High Reaches Impression. His bronze Zevranth was large and lithe, and they match each other perfectly over the years. Arendion, now A'dion, was a snooty, arrogant and colorist (even though kind, and he's still a colorist) man, and Zevranth was a kind, strong, brave and robust Bronze.
Ten years went by within the Interval, and A'dion became High Reaches' Wingsecond, one of the best the weyr had seen in a while. The greenrider Derenda, A'dion's friend and lover, though healthy as a runnerbeast, eventually came down with a particularly nasty strain of cancer. It hit her hard, and took her down fast. Bedridden not a day afterwards, A'dion never left her side. Eventually though, she passed on, her dragon Vivianth going between barely a few seconds later. Zevranth keened his loss, and his rider's, who would not cry. A'dion had Zevranth take her between, saying no other dragon was worthy to carry her. When the bronze returned empty clawed, the rider had never felt more alone.
A'dion never got over the death of his friend and lover, and thus he moped around the Weyr, throwing himself into drills and the care of his beloved Zevranth. He felt it was his fault that Derenda had died. He had pushed her and pushed her in her drills, demanding that she conquer her terror of Thread (It was only a couple months til the Pass started), demanding that she do him proud. Only when she had passed from him did he realize that he had never once told her he loved her ... and he had, more than he'd even realized. Zevranth tried to help his rider, to assure him that whatever ailed him, it was not his fault. Dragon memory was notoriously short-term, so the Bronze wasn't even sure what his Rider was upset over. But at least he tried.
Not long after that, rumors of a new Weyr in the West sprung up, and A'dion jumped at the chance to rid himself of the memory of his lost Derenda. And so, a month later, he was led between by a rider from Western, and has recently arrived in the skies above the Weyr. Not longer after that, his bronze Zevranth rose to chase and catch Talaria's gold Orlaith, and claim his place at her side as her weyrmate. A'dion's thoughts on Talaria are still mostly unknown, but he gets along well with her, and thinks she's rather beautiful. Typical A'dion.
If ever you become inactive without warning for a long period of time or decide to leave the site, what would you like me to do with your character?
Ranking characters with high color dragons/whers can either be put up for adoption or killed off. They will not be able to remain as background NPCs for any longer than it will take for me to think of a way to kill them off, but other characters can remain around as NPCs if you’d like. If you ever decide to come back and wish to reclaim your characters, you can always reclaim them if they’ve simply been turned into NPCs, and if they haven’t been adopted yet, but if you allow them to be killed off they cannot be returned to you, they are gone forever.

Strengths
- Determined - He will not stop until he has finished something he has started. Thus why he rose in the Wingranks so quickly.
- Loyal - If you're a friend, then you've always got someone in your corner, no matter what.
- Charismatic - His charm and winning smile, as well as his nature towards someone worthy of him, garner him the affections of those around him
- Fidelity - If he's in a relationship with someone, he's with that person. A complete opposite of his womanizing nature.
- Hard Worker - Often seen working out in the fields plowing, A'dion gets antsy if he's not physically doing something.
Faults
- Headstrong - He'll barrel headfirst into something, not really thinking about the consequences
- Coloristic - When it comes to Dragonriders, if you do not ride Gold, Bronze, Brown or Black, you're simply not worth his time
- Womanizer - At gathers and parties, he's often seen with three or four women, or men, and is notorious for being a 'heartbreaker' ... though he's really not.
- Arrogant - He's the son of a Lord Holder of a Minor Hold, thus he is, by right, better than you.
- Quick to Anger - Short-fused, hot-headed, whatever applies is what he is. Diplomacy? Screw that, just punch them in the face.
