Name: Zamethra (Z'mer)
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Rank:Wingrider
Family: Bluerider J'meth (father deceased), Zameldra (mother)
Dragon: Bronze Amoneth
Pets: Jet, black tunnelcat. Z'mer was adopted by the tunnelcat at some point during his tenure at Telgar. While he was packing for his transfer, Jet kept on getting into his luggage and he gave up in the end and took the animal along. The tunnelcat is independent, strong willed and often aloof, but quite affectionate when the mood strikes it.
Appearance: In his own words, Z'mer is "ruggedly handsome" - something his mother called him after he Impressed. He's 6'1" tall with brown hair, blue-grey eyes and a wicked smile when he turns on the charm. He's well-built from constant flight training and he makes a point of keeping in shape - can't win the affection of admirers otherwise. He can carry a tune when the rest of the weyr sings during evening entertainment and secretly writes bad romance stories when he's not involved with someone.
Basic Personality:
Strengths
Faults
History: Born and raised at Telgar to the Weyr's blue Searchrider and one of the lower caverns women, Z'mer absorbed Weyr life like a sponge. His father was not exactly absentee, his duties just prevented him to spend much time with his son. His mother was around enough that he knew her better than his father. He was fostered to one of the other women as is the tradition, but his mother was around to make sure he kept up his education to her standards.
Z'mer got Searched by his father's dragon, but J'meth was killed in a freak training accident before the Hatching and never saw his son's dragon. His mother withdrew a bit at that point, but Amoneth Impressed him not long after and he had a friend that loved him so it didn't matter all that much. His father was a presence but not a great influence to Z'mer.
He was one of the youngest Bronze riders chosen in recent years and it made his training difficult and relationship with the other weyrlings strained for a while. Being a friendly sort, he got them to be more friendly towards him and some good friendships were forged at that time.
The first time Amoneth chased and caught a green was quite an experience for Z'mer, but he wasn't really emotionally involved with the boy so it didn't last long.
When Western Weyr was opened, Z'mer wasn't sure if he should transfer there, just for the hell of it - a change was needed, he was feeling apathetic about being in Telgar. There was nothing that kept him there and if he had any children, their mothers never thought to mention it to him. It took him a while longer to actually get around to the decision and put in his transfer request.
If ever you become inactive without warning for a long period of time or decide to leave the site, what would you like me to do with your character?
Keep him until you need to kill him off, or have someone adopt him.

Basic Personality:
Strengths
- Loyal to a fault. When he's your friend, he'll do anything for you.
- Readily admits when he's wrong about something, but it can take some explaining to make him see.
- Friendly to all and sundry, quick to make anybody his friend.
- He's a natural leader, able to inspire others to do what needs to be done.
- Generous when needed. He'd give his shirt off his back if he felt that the person needed it more than he did.
Faults
- He can come across as conceited, very sure of his looks and accomplishments.
- He doubts himself often in the privacy of his weyr, and hates himself for those doubts.
- Loud when deep in his cups - rather keep the wine away from him, he can be a bit of an idiot when drunk.
- Stubborn when he's sure he's right about something and difficult to change his mind about that.
- He's somewhat superstitious when it comes to things that need to be done before a fall.
