Lia’s features are that of her mothers. She is roughly 5’6” weighing around 125 pounds. She has dirty blonde hair and striking green eyes. She is very slender, but not an unhealthy slender. She is considered to be pretty, but that doesn’t mean she takes notice to her looks. It is often to catch her with leaves or something in her hair or even dirt on her face. Sure she likes to be clean, but she likes to have fun as well.
Basic Personality:
Lia may look like her mother, but she takes more after her father. She is very stubborn and seems to like things done her way. Once she has a set opinion on something, it is very hard to get her to change her mind even if she has the proof right in front of her. One of her least favorite words is failure. She loves a challenge, so when the search rider challenged her to impress she took him on in a second. She’s not the flirty girl type, she believes in hard work first before even looking at some guy. After all relationships as a candidate is frowned upon. Although she seems like a nice person all around it is hard for her to make friends. Most people don’t like that they cannot change her mind and it often angers them.
Strengths
- Dependable – If you’re a friend of hers and ask her to do something of course she will in reasons of course.
- Caring – She perhaps cares too much sometimes, but she does care for her friends and family (the few that she has).
- Trustworthy – Even is she absolutely hates you she will keep a secret especially if the person has no one else to go to. Even if she helps you though doesn’t mean she likes you just means she pities you.
- No Complaints – If she hates it somewhere or her feet hurt or she has an injury you will not hear her utter a single word of complaint. She believes it is best to be strong rather then complain your life away.
- Won’t back down – She will never back down from anything even if people think she will be the weaker one. She believes that if you keep on trying you will succeed.
Faults
- Stubborn – Good luck trying to get her to change her mind. You can have all the proof in the world and she still won’t change her mind.
- Not so nice – Tell her something she don’t want to hear nor like to hear she can be very rude to that person. And once she’s rude to you it is pretty much set in stone that she will act that way to you for a long while.
- Temperamental – She is often very nice person, but one wrong word can turn her into most people’s worst nightmare. Once offended she isn’t afraid to snap back or perhaps even yell. Its not very often that she snaps, but when she does she can be hell on wheels!
- Keeps On Going – She never takes the time to rest really and that is bad for her health. She often ends up in the infirmary for being sick, but ends up arguing her way out to keep on going on whatever project she is working on.
- Claustrophobic – She is not one to be put in a huge crowd or in small little spaces. She will often faint if there are too many people or perhaps get sick.
History:
Amelia came from Ista Weyr. Her family are Glass-Smith people. Amelia herself grew up working with Glass and loved making Glass sculptures. Growing up to nondragonriders, Lia never thought of really impressing a dragon. She did however enjoy the warmth of Ista Weyr and dreamed of never leaving. But of course things always go a different route. At 16 turns of age, Lia was searched by an Ista Weyr rider, and was challenged to try and impress. Of course, she can never turn down a challenge so she accepted the challenge and stood for a clutch there. Yet sadly she did not impress. She felt depressed for the first time really in her life, but she never gave up hope. Besides she wanted to prove the searchrider wrong anyways. When the thought of her perhaps becoming a dragon rider was first planted in her head it was all she could now think about. After hearing of how huge of a clutch Gold Orlaith had, she wondered how big of a clutch Grey Iroth would have. After her request to transfer was accepted, she now is at Western expierencing cold for the first time.
