Today has been an interesting day. Not only have I left Benden Weyr, but I have joined Western Weyr to stand for Grey Iroth’s clutch. I feel one step closer to my real goal, impressing a dragon and finding my brother. I find Western to be an interesting place and much better since I am out of my mother’s over protectiveness nature. Perhaps I will even try to make a few friends to make my short stay here worth while until my dragon (if I impress) is old enough to go search for this half brother of mine.
I am not sure why it bothers me so that I wish to know him, but perhaps it is because I lead a lonely life and wish to be close to someone even since father had disappeared. Perhaps it is because I am hoping he will have the answers to where father has gone? Who knows, but from what I understand this brother of mine is the only other person my father was close to of his children.
Tranic seems to be taking the move very well. More firelizards to play with and even flirt with. Perhaps my short stay here will not be so bad. Perhaps I will find some reason to stay here. After all with the Thread so close to coming, it would not be ideal to keep changing places. Well off to go explore, write back later.
