Family:
Father: Marren (37) Master Vintner
Mother: Rennai (39)

Appearance:
Reuen is dashingly handsome, his dark hair and blue eyes drawing in the attention of women (and sometimes men). He stands at about 5'11" and is muscled from helping in the fields where grapes are grown for his father's wines. His hair is normally messy, and he doesn't seem to try to do anything special to accent his looks (other than the basic bathing) but that in it of itself seems to make him more attractive. He has a perpetual tricksters smile on his lips, and his eyes always sparkle with some sort of hidden joke. Normally Reuen is wearing light comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.

History:
Reuen is the eldest child and only son of a Master Vintner from a small cothold just outside of Benden Hold. He studied under his father to become a Vintner and seemed to be doing well enough in that craft but it wasn't really out of any desire of his own. Certainly he enjoyed his craft well enough, it was a decent way to make a living, but he (pardon the cliche) always thought he was meant for more.
One day, when he was attending a gather at Benden Hold, he discovered just how much more he really wanted. He had just delivered some of his father's wines, a contribution to the gather's stock, and was enjoying some frivolity of his own. Dancing, singing, company, art, food, wine, a gather truly was a place where Reuen felt comfortable. It was at this gather that Reuen was approached by a searchrider from Western. Dalli was not, of course, there on search. She was simply attending the gather when Foreth notified her of Reuen's capability to stand as a Candidate.
His father was proud, his mother overjoyed, and his sister couldn't believe it. Of course Reuen was thrown for a loop, but he wasn't one to let an opportunity like this pass and so he packed his things and accompanied the Greenrider back to Western. After all... how hard could it be to fit in at a Weyr?

Strengths
- Fun: Reuen is always trying to make things fun for everything involved. From singing while shoveling firestone or joking around while washing dishes he's always trying to lighten the mood.
- Imaginative: He has a way of thinking of things when no one else can. Sometimes something fun to do, sometimes a solution to a problem, often unpredictable.
- Easy-going: Most things roll right off his back and it takes a great deal to get him riled.
- Adaptive: Reuen picks up pretty much any role with ease. Instead of complaining about a situation he picks it up and runs with it.
- Hopeless Romantic: Reuen loves love and is very much at ease with it and women in general. He is by no means a player, he is very much a one woman guy, but he believes in treating women well.
Faults
- Joker: Unfortunately Reuen's fun-loving attitude often means that he jokes around in inappropriate moments, only to notice after the fact. He also tends to joke whenever he feels awkward so the cycle has a tendency to be self-perpetuating.
- Pushover: Reuen will do almost anything to avoid a conflict, in fact about the only thing he will really stand for is the people and things that he cares about. But if another candidate wants him to shovel HIS share of firestone he will happily do it. This is not because he can't handle a conflict, simply because he doesn't see the merit in starting one over something he really doesn't care that much about.
- Underestimated: Most people don't really see past the pushover/joker Reuen and as a result people tend to think he can't really be relied on or that he doesn't take ANYTHING seriously.
- Doesn't do well alone: Reuen isn't a loner and often needs social contact of some sort to feel comfortable.
- Hopeless Romantic: Both a strength and a weakness, Reuen will pretty much do anything for the person he loves, even if they don't necessarily deserve it. He's extremely vulnerable when he cares for someone.
