All the different Character Templates can be found here, please make sure to fill out the correct template.
Templates include:
1. Human Template - for any human, dragonrider, wherhandler, holder, crafter, or weyrfolk of any sort.
2. Dragon Template - for dragons of course, if you play a dragonrider you will need to fill out a human and a dragon template. Dragons don't count toward your character limit.
3. Wher Template - for whers, as of right now no Wild Whers will be allowed to be played, so to play a wher you must also fill out a human template for their handler. Whers don't count toward you character limit.
4. Firelizard Template - for all firelizards, wild or owned. Firelizards do not count toward your character limit, and wild firelizards do not count toward your firelizard limit, but you do have a max of 3 wild firelizards that you can play and they can only be Green, Blue, Burgundy, or Brown.
5. Gemtail Template - for gemtails, as of right now no Wild Gemtails will be allowed to be played but they might become an option in the future. As of right now they are only available though special giveaways or Impression in RP when there are clutches and are not allowed as pets for those just starting out without special permission (do NOT ask me, I will tell you if you are able to start with one). Gemtails don't count toward your character limit.
6. Glider Template - for gliders, Wild Gliders will NEVER be allowed to be played, only owned ones since they are not native to Western, have only been discovered very recently (earlier than Gemtails even) and there's no reason there to be any wild ones. As of right now they are only available though special giveaways or Impression in RP when there are clutches and are not allowed as pets for those just starting out without special permission (do NOT ask me, I will tell you if you are able to start with one). Gliders don't count toward your character limit.

Human Template Copy and paste this code into a new thread within the character creation board and wait to be accepted. You may be required to modify certain points before being accepted. *Note that I understand some people do not like non-Canon colors (I usually don't like them myself and mine even bug me a little!) and if you have a Candidate or a Searchable you can put 'Canon Only' in the Dragon/Wher section if you want to be sure that they won't Impress to a non-Canon color. If you don't care then just leave the section blank as directed. You may also put a color you REALLY don't want the character to get, but be reasonable. If you are a female, quite honestly chances are you are going to get a Green but if you really REALLY don't want one for that character I will see what I can do (there are Burgundies, after all, who also prefer female candidates!). Just know that Green is not a color I can ensure you will not get under most circumstances (unless your character is a very masculine straight male, I will never pair a Green with such a character). Name: often times parents will take parts of their own names to create their child’s name (ex: Nyra and Xanyr had a daughter and named her Nyxani, Ny from her mother, xan from her father) so take that into consideration when coming up with a name for your character. You can also include any nicknames and (if your character is a Candidate) in parenthesis please specify what you would like their name shortened to if they Impress (mostly for males, but in the 10th Pass it is not uncommon for females to shorten their names as well). Age: in Turns Gender: Sexual Orientation: Rank:are they a drudge? Crafter of some sort? If they are a dragonrider are they a searchrider, dragonhealer, just a wingrider, wingsecond? Family: Dragon or Wher: If your character is not a dragonrider or a wherhandler (or a Candidate for one or the other), simply delete this part from your profile. If your character IS a dragonrider or a wherhandler, just include their color and name here. If your character is a Candidate/Searchable then leave this area blank. (Delete one or the other, if you have a dragon then delete 'or Wher' and vice versa.) Pets: Do they have any firelizards or other animals? List them here. (Even if you're not starting out with any, you might want to leave this here to add to later if you Impress firelizards later on.) Other allowed pets include Tunnelcats (similar to ferrets, and quite common as they hunt down tunnelsnakes), Canines (dogs are fairly common as working pets, ie guards, hunters, herders, etc.), and Runners (horses, these will only rarely be allowed as Runners are costly and most of the people of Pern can't really afford them). Pets other than Firelizards do not require their own bios to be filled out, instead a little summary of them can simply be included here. (Gemtails are not available as pets for those just starting out and must be gained through roleplay/special events.)
Appearance: At least 3 sentences. You may also include a picture (no anime/drawn/sprite pictures, only REAL people).
Basic Personality: Strengths (at least 5, preferably more, do not simply list them, but add a little description/example to go along with it) [ul] [li] [/li][li] [/li][li] [/li][li] [/li][li] [/li][/ul] Faults (at least 5, preferably more, do not simply list them, but add a little description/example to go along with it) [ul] [li] [/li][li] [/li][li] [/li][li] [/li][li] [/li][/ul]
History: At least 10 sentences (unless they are an infant/weyrbrat, then 5 sentences will suffice).
If ever you become inactive without warning for a long period of time or decide to leave the site, what would you like me to do with your character?
Ranking characters with high color dragons/whers can either be put up for adoption or killed off. They will not be able to remain as background NPCs for any longer than it will take for me to think of a way to kill them off, but other characters can remain around as NPCs if you’d like. If you ever decide to come back and wish to reclaim your characters, you can always reclaim them if they’ve simply been turned into NPCs, and if they haven’t been adopted yet, but if you allow them to be killed off they cannot be returned to you, they are gone forever. Dragon Template Copy and paste this form into a new thread. Name: dragon names always end in ‘th’ Age: in Turns Color: Rider: Rank: Dam: For dragons that are 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 Turns and have been at Western their whole lives (meaning they hatched there), their Dam would be Gold Orlaith, for dragons that hatched at Western and are between 1 and 4 Turns (and are not of Gold Orlaith’s clutches) their Dam would be Grey Iroth. For Dragons that have not been hatched at Western, feel free to make up your own name for a Gold or Grey that clutched them (and specify from which weyr they came from so I can make a note of it and it can become part of the site canon!) Sire: Dragons older than 2 Turns with Gold Orlaith as their Dam will have Bronze Greth as their Sire, under 2 Turns will have Bronze Zevranth. Dragons with Grey Iroth as their Dam, between 1 and 4 Turns old, will have Black Sabath as their Sire. For all others, once again, feel free to make up the name of a male and specify which color (as Blues can now sire clutches on Greys [though it’s rare] and Burgundies and Browns have a good chance of siring clutches with the newer females as well). Make sure your dragon’s sire actually COULD have sired them, please! A Blue could never sire higher than a Brown and Burgundies only very rarely sire Blacks. Speaking Color: I suggest looking through here: http://www.december.com/html/spec/color.html to find a color code you would like to represent your dragon when it speaks. I will then add it to the dropdown color menu so you don’t have to remember it. Make sure it’s not already taken here: http://westernweyrhold.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rules&action=display&thread=4 and of course stick to a color that’s similar to your dragon’s own color, don’t use bright green as a speaking color for a Black Dragon.
Appearance: At least 3 sentences. You may also include a picture (just make sure it at least looks halfway like a Pernese dragon rather than some other random dragon). Be sure to include size, color shade, and any markings. Abilities Agility: On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being horrible and 10 being excellent. This indicates your dragon’s ability to maneuver in flight, how quickly and safely can they turn and dive and avoid obstacles/danger. (Golds, Bronzes, and Browns will never have an agility score higher than 5 or 6, Greys, Blacks, and Burgundies can be as high as 7 or 8, and only Greens and Blues will ever have 9 or 10.) Speed: On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the slowest and 10 being the fastest. This indicates how fast or slow your dragon is in flight. (Unlike with Agility and Endurance, there is not as much limit with speed when it comes to your dragon’s color. On average, however, Greens, Blues, Burgundies, Blacks, and Greys will be the only ones that can reach 9 and 10 while Golds, Bronzes, and Browns won’t get past 8.) Endurance: On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being horrible and 10 being excellent. This indicates your dragon’s ability to last though a full Threadfall (about 6 hours).(Greens will never have an endurance score higher than 5, Blues can be as high as 6, Burgundies as high as 7, Greys and Blacks can be as high as 8, Browns as high as 9, and Golds and Bronzes are the only ones that can be as high as 10.) Sensitivity: On a scale of 1-5 with 1 being average and 5 being extremely sensitive. This indicates your dragon’s telepathic sensitivity. Dragons with 4 or 5 in sensitivity are likely to be Searchdragons. (Greens and Blues are the only colors that will ever have up to 5 in sensitivity [and only a few of them at that], and Burgundies might RARELY have 4, all other colors can range from 1 to 3.)

Glider Template Copy and paste this form into a new thread. Name: Can be named whatever the owner wishes, obvious "th" names are for dragons and "sk" names are for whers.
