Pala served herself a plate of food from what was available for lunch in the dining cavern, he plate strangely free of anything green for a Healer. She seemed to opt instead for mostly fruits, and a slice of bread with a bit of meat on top. When she came across the cheeses she walked past them as if they didn't exist, instead pouring herself some water before going to sit at the table where she had left Kumath before.
Kumath had, in fact, been the one to pick out the table. It's location near the hearth was prime for resting while his ate her meal, something that had also been his idea. Apparently the girl rarely managed to remember to eat a meal until she was far too hungry, something that resulted in a very cranky Pala. And so, when the smells of lunch started to tickle his nose, he had suggested to her that a meal near the fire might be nice.
Pala, for her part, was unaware of the Burgundy's little plot. She looked around the dining cavern to see if she knew anyone.

A'der followed his bronze into the dining area. The bronze was moving slow as if to make sure he wouldn't trip over his own feet. Mine, where shall we sit? The bronze asked but A'der was already heading to a table. "Hey Pala." He said with a grin as he sat down. The bronze feeling left out starting walking faster to catch up to his rider, that was until he did a tripping dance. Crashing into a table A'der looked over at his dragon and ran to him. "You alright?" He asked with concern in his eyes.
Menorath got back up and seemed to shake it all off. Of course I am alright. I would not be a big and mighty dragon if I wasn't alright. A'der just laughed and looked at Pala, "He's ok." Telling her that before she asked. "Go lay down over there and you better tell me if you're hurting anywhere." He said. The bronze moved closer to the table and laid down without a complaint. With a shake of his head A'der went and got some food before coming back to the table. His plate was full of meat, cheese, and fruit. Sitting back down he looked at her. "How you been?"

Pala smiled, "Hello A'der." Her eyes widened as Menorath tripped and went tumbling into a table. In her head Kumath chuckled, "That's not funny!" Oh, the clumsy thing is fine. Pala still turned to frown at the Burgundy who simply went on enjoying the heat from the fire.
She sighed turning back to A'der, "That's good, if it makes him feel any better I do the same thing all the time."
Kumath opened one eye to look at his clutchmate The floor didn't move you know...
"I've been well, Kumath keeps me busy... although probably less so than Menorath does for you. I can barely get this one up to eat and be oiled," You should be thanking me, less work for you. "Not if your hide splits, then where would we be hm? So how have you and Menorath been getting on? And how are Zyika and Hers doing?"

Menorath settled in close to the fire as well. He did not care if the Burgundy was to comment he was blocking the heat, he was just as important as any other clutchmate of his. That makes me feel much better. A person does the same thing. A'der smiled at his bronze and nodded to Pala, "It makes him feel better." He patted the bronze on the head before answering Pala's question.
"We have been well. Menorath feels a bit outta place since he's so huge. I always remind him the Gold is bigger and he always responds not by much." He laughed with a shake of his head. "Zyika is fairing well. Imanith pretty much talks her to death, Zyika says she can barely write a full journal without Imanith butting in." Imanith just likes to hear herself talk. A'der grinned at his dragon, "Not too mention poor Menorath hears the most of it. So from the sounds of it yours is very lazy?" A'der asked before looking at the Burgundy.

She smiled at the Bronze and turned back to A'der, "That's good guess, although one has to wonder if he'll grow out of it. It's hard to imagine a Bronze of his size full grown and tripping... potentially hazardous to those around him too... but he is still young, so he's entitled to a bit of clumsiness here and there."
I don't trip over everything
"You have to get up in order to really say that you don't trip dear one," she laughed at the lazy thing and then listened as A'der talked, "Bigger means he will be sure to last Threadfall easily right? He will be a valuable asset when Thread returns. Just be careful, I don't want to treat any scores on that beautiful hide of yours," she said that last bit to Menorath, and Kumath twitch his tail in irritation.
You will be flying Thread with ME, would you rather have a clumsy Bronze?
Pala rolled her eyes, "Of course not, you know better."
Kumath's eyes whirled with humor You wouldn't mind the rider though.
Pala blushed furiously, the color more prevalent on her ears which she abruptly covered with her hands, We're FRIENDS!
She huffed at the Burgundy before answering A'der's question, "Yes he is very lazy, except it seems when it comes to teasing me!"

A'der pictured Menorath all grown and tripping on things. With a sigh he nodded, "Very dangerous indeed. He would hurt himself as well and we can't have that." I will be fine. Me hurting myself is a total joke. A'der looked at his dragon and shook his head. The healers would most defiantly be seeing him a lot.
My hide will be just fine. The bronze commented. A'der smiled, "I believe he will be fine. He even says his hide will be." A'der laughed himself. He would last a full thread fall for sure, and that made A'der happy. Where his sister would have to drop out he could continue one and make sure no thread ever touches the ground.
A'der's eyebrow raised up slightly out of curiousity from her blushing out of no where. No doubt was something her dragon had said. "And what would he be teasing you about right now?" He asked curiously.

"Well Kumath is right about one thing, he doesn't usually trip, which I guess is good considering my track record..." she looked down at her hand, still bandaged, "But then a Healer's most difficult patient is themselves, or so the Masters would tell me."
"I'm sure he will be, and so will you," the last bit was said more as an order than a statement, "I'm sure Kumath will handle his own just fine as well, he seems very apt at dodging, so I can only hope that skill extends to Thread."
The silly little strings won't be able to graze me or Mine!
She blushed harder at his question, "I- It- He's just being silly! It was nothing," Kumath shook his head, looking even more amused now as His stumbled through her words.
She likes you. the Burgundy let both humans hear him.
"As friends you nosy little beast!" Pala nearly yelled her words at the Burgundy before turned back to her plate grumbling under her breath, "Lazy thing is too smart for his own sharding good..."
He chuckled, So NOW I'm smart
"You should mind your own business."
You were being silly and wasting time when you could be napping.
"I like talking to A'der"
Not what I meant, and you know it.

“You’re hand still hasn’t healed?” A’der asked Pala looking at her bandaged hand. How long had she had that bandage? A'der wasn't very sure, but it was obvious he had two clumsy people in his life. Alyzin had just woken up from his slumber and poked out of A’der’s front pocket with a yawn. The little Burgundy looked at the two dragons with little interest as all.
“Thread is most likely coming…luckily its winter now.” He added with a sigh. His eyes looked at her as she continued to blush even harder then laughed a little as he heard the Burgundy’s works. “Now now no need to yell at your poor dragon.” He smiled, he did like Pala. She was much different then all the other girls at the Weyr that was for sire.
His eyes flickered back to his Bronze who was fast asleep obviously had gotten tired of falling everywhere and decided to snooze instead. His tail twitched a little in his sleep but other then that he snoozed right along.

"Well... I sort of tripped in my hurry to get the the Hatching and it re-opened.... You should see the bruise on my hip, next time I won't roll when I fall! Had I known that Kumath was going to take so long to hatch I wouldn't have bothered to rush," she glanced at the Burgundy who was feigning sleep, "Sometimes I wonder if he bonded with me because I was the closest." She laughed at the sleepy firelizard as he woke up, "Hello Alyzin, did you sleep well?"
"He started it..." she grumbled when A'der made the comment about yelling at Kumath, and quickly realized how juvenile that sounded. Kumath's amusement echoing across their bond did not help matters much in that regard. She knew that he meant well, but she was starting to wish he would butt out sometimes. Although the fact that she was never alone now certainly had more pros than cons. For one she wasn't the victim of her own brain quite so often these days.

A’der shook his head slightly, “I guess I will have to worry about you as much as I worry about my own dragon.” He said with a laugh. His eyes showed amusement. Why do you have to worry about me? Menorath asked. A’der looked at his dragon and scratched the top of his head ‘Cause I’m sure you will end up doing something!’ No I won’t.
Alyzin let out another yawn before hopping out of A’der’s pocket. His eyes flickered and stole some meat of A’der’s plate before looking at the larger Burgundy curiously. “He’s been asleep all day, usually when its bed time he’ll sleep on top of Menorath.” A’der told Pala.
Amusement filled his eyes as she played the blame game. He could tell they made an interesting bond for sure. “A dragon picks their rider for a reason, not because they were the closest.” He laughed before looking at the Burgundy, “Ain’t I right.”

Pala seemed to be thinking along the same lines as Menorath, "Why would you need to worry? I haven't injured myself lethally or anything before."
Yet
Hush
Kumath didn't really seem to notice Alyzin at all really, his eyes were still closed and while he could almost certainly sense the flit, he didn't really consider him a threat and so he stayed where he was. Pala smiled, "Well at least they get along. That's good." It made sense that they did, they had both bonded with A'der so they obviously both liked him, although Zyika liked him too and didn't get along with Alyzin much at all.
"Technically being nearer is a reason," she grinned, "But I was only teasing him," She knew that Kumath had his own reasons for picking her, even if she wasn't entirely sure what they all were, "I do wish he hadn't made me wait so long though."

A'der just grinned, "Cause you get hurt somehow..." Menorath twitched his tail slightly then laid his own head down. Alyzin was very curious of the larger burgundy to which he flew over and landed on its own head. Alyzin chirped very loudly. A'der looked at the firelizard and shook his head. He swore the lizard had more enemies then friends.
"The two hit it off just fine which is good." The he added jokingly, "Now all I have to do is worry if a little green likes me." He shook his head still amused about his nightmares of Zyika impressing a dragon that would go after him. "But from what I understand all Imanith does is talk."
A'der shrugged slightly, "Some dragons love making their riders wait. Zyika made her dragon wait though." He added the last part remembering how late him and his sister were to the hatching.

He seems to know you fairly well Kumath said in regards to the 'get hurt somehow' comment. He cracked open an eye as Alyzin landed on his head but he didn't otherwise move.
Pala laughed at the sight, "I can't tell if Alyzin likes him or if he's just testing his limits..."
I'm likable, why is it even a question?
"I'm sure she'll like you," she smiled in a way that she hoped was reassuring, but she was secretly picturing a green dragonet chasing A'der throughout the Weyr, "Maybe she'll talk less as she gets older... I mean she's young, so she's probably curious about everything and how else is she to learn? Although Kumath seems to know things intuitively... I wonder what makes that difference..." She glanced back at the Burgundy who had closed his eyes again, "They're just as different as we are, people that is. Firelizards too, I mean the differences between Alyzin and Finiky are huge. Can't really speak for gemtails, I've only really met Chief-"
You're rambling my dear.
Pala stopped talking abruptly, "Ah, sorry!"

"Most likely testing his limits." A'der responded with a laugh as he watched the little fire lizard walk all over the Burgundy. He shook his head, Alyzin seemed to test limits with everyone so he hoped the dragon and firelizard got along. His eyes flickered to Menorath and grinned when he saw the dragon asleep.
He listened to Pala while taking a few bites of food he laughed when she stopped all the sudden. "Oh its fine." He said with a laugh. She is much better then Imanith. Imanith just keeps going. Menorath added while opening an eye then closing it again to sleep.
"Its actually pretty funny to picture the second smallest dragon chasing after me when I have a big bronze." He smiled. He could even picture the little green bounding after him right now. "I'm sure Imanith won't mind me, at least until Alyzin makes Zyika mad again."
"Each dragon has a different personality, they learn differently. Dragons, Firelizards, and even Gemtails aren't so different as to you and me. We all are different" He stated before taking another bite out of the apple.

Kumath either didn't mind the little burgundy, or he was just too lazy to do anything about it. Although Pala was fairly certain he would do something about Alyzin if he was REALLY annoyed.
"But... doesn't Alyzin make Zyika mad often...?" Pala tilted her head questioningly. Personally she didn't think that A'der had that much time before the flitter did just that, considering it was him making Zyika mad that had led to A'der and Pala meeting in the first place. On second thought...
Pala nodded, "Makes sense. It's just odd how certain personalities impress to certain people. Like how Midnael... well... with his mom... Anyway! Fin seems to have taken it upon herself to be a surrogate mother. I'm a klutz... Kumath is graceful, when he decides to move at all."
Less moving means that you should make the most of the movements that you do make. You just need to put more thought into the ones you make.
"You're probably right..."
