After Zyika helped the girl up she shook her head, "Imanith says you are a walking disaster." She shrugged slightly then eyed the firelizard up on top of some cabinent. "I'm going to go now, since I no longer work in the kitchens it feels odd to be here." She looked at Pala and smiled a small smile, "Pleasure to meet you."
A'der stood back up and hugged his sister, "Stay outta trouble." He muttered in her ear. She laughed as she walked off with a little Green prancing behind her. Ohhh...where we going to go now? Can we go meet some other dragons? Pleaseeeee.
Menorath flicked his tail then looked at his rider. "He's fine." A'der said after his sister left. "I think he'll be able to make it through a lot more then you. And I thought Menorath was going to be bad." A'der chuckled and shook his head.

"I think I already knew that..." Pala laughed a bit, "Or at least your brother and Kumath keep telling me so. It was nice to meet you too!" She smiled, and waved her good hand.
She looked at A'der, "I'm used to it," she peeled back he tunic a bit to look at the injury which seemed very red and angry, "I'd get some numbweed for it but I think it's probably a better idea to feel the pain. You don't need to worry about me anyway, Kumath does enough of that. Besides I'm sure you'll have your hands full with Menorath."
At least that one still has a chance to grow out of it, from what I've seen of humans you seem to be about full grown.
"Actually girls can have growth spurts up until they are 22 turns... but you're probably right about that. Although it begs the question as to why the girls back home seem to be so intent on reproducing so early when they aren't full grown themselves," she sighed.

"See that wasn't so bad." He said referring to Pala meeting Zyika. He was impressed she had talked a bit more then usual, but then again he figured Imanith has made a huge impact on Zyika. With Zyika gone, Alyzin went back to A'der's shoulder chirping happily and wanting attention. A'der scratched the firelizard's eye lid to make him happy.
He peered at her red shoulder and shook his head, "Really you're going to endure that pain..." He said with a sigh. What was he going to do with that girl, she was defiantly going to be a walking disaster. "Keep a good eye on her." He told the Burgundy since Pala was insisting him not to worry. He was sure that Kumath would defiantly keep his eyes on his bonded especially since she seemed to always be falling down.
"Future crechewomen." He muttered with a shake of his head. Truthfully he didn't really want to have a family since it would be hard to balance the rider life and family life. He saw how much of a toll it took on his father and he didn't want the same. But it was really too early to decide. He still had many turns before even thinking about any of that.

"I never said it would be, I like meeting new people as a general rule," she had liked meeting Zyika, she was quiet but there was nothing wrong with that, "I was a little worried she wouldn't like me, and... Well we have to fight tread together one day."
What she meant to say is and then she'd wouldn't get to be around you. Kumath seemed to be continuing with his impatience over beating around the bush.
"Kumath! I am allowed to think things without saying them occasionally you know."
Yes but this is quicker. All this worry out of the way and then you can relax.
"And what exactly are you in such a hurry to get to?" Pala glared.
Kumath, rather wisely, kept his thoughts to himself on that matter.
She sighed, "It's not that I'm a masochist or anything, I just don't want to injure it again because I pushed my limits without realizing. Pain is viewed in a bad light, but it's what keeps us from hurting ourselves."
Of course I will.
She nodded, "Or they die in childbirth because they weren't ready. Holders tend to marry and start families earlier than weyrfolk, I'm sure if I had stayed home instead of in a craft I'd would have already been married off turns ago." She made a face, "Laura's only 14 but I'm sure her prospects are already being considered. Father's always had a sweet spot for her though, she she'll be allowed to take her time choosing."

A’der grinned, “No worries, she liked you. Both her and I are a little alike once we open up we’re alright. But it takes her a little longer to open up.” He said with a shrug. It was the truth, most people would think Zyika to be stuck up since she rarely spoke a few words and she stuttered sometimes.
A’der laughed, “I rarely see my sister as it is so Pala has no need to worry.” He grinned at Pala then looked at Kumath, “Perhaps a good thing though cause you may get annoyed with Imanith’s constant chatter.
His eyes flickered to Menorath and realized he better oil the Bronze here soon. “I better get going as well Pala, but we’ll see eachother again here soon.” Menorath already began walking out the door with A’der quickly getting up to follow the clumsy thing. “Besides he needs a bath and oiled today, gotta shine is gorgeous color after all.” A’der grinned again with a slight laugh. “Make sure Kumath doesn’t get too Lazy on you or else I’ll be the one catching your fall before he does.”

"Really? Laura and I are nothing alike..." it was true, except for the shape of their faces they had little in common. Laura was girlie, graceful, didn't get along with other girls, and generally preferred to keep to herself. Pala on the other hand rarely thought about things the way most girls did, was a klutz, studious, and friendly. Also... Laura didn't have issues with getting attached when she shouldn't...
"Still... I'm glad it went well, she was nice," she smiled slightly, "And if she does annoy him he'll probably deserve it. The way he chatters on about my personal thoughts and feelings."
Well if you feel that way you should say something.
"You could let me decide that."
She sighed and turned back to A'der, "Oh... right I probably should get back to work... it's been a rather long lunch I think." She waved, a bit sad to see him go, well... more than a bit.
You should tell him.
I shouldn't have anything to tell him, this is a bad idea.
For you or for him?
Both.
